Helping Hands at Oakham RFC

Join the Oakham RFC Volunteer Team

Oakham Rugby Club has always been built on community spirit — players, parents, supporters, and local people all pulling together to make the club a welcoming, thriving place to be. As our season and social calendar continue to grow, we’re looking for extra hands to help out on match days, training nights, and special events.

We’re inviting anyone with a bit of spare time, enthusiasm, and pride in their local club to get involved. Whether it’s just an hour or two, your help makes a real difference and keeps Oakham RFC running smoothly for everyone.

Volunteer roles include:

  • Parking Duty (Sunday mornings) – helping guide cars safely and keeping things organised for our Mini & Junior sessions.
  • Kitchen Duty (Sunday mornings) – serving teas, coffees, and bacon rolls to players, parents, and visitors.
  • Kit Shop (Sunday mornings) – assisting with sales and helping players and families with club merchandise.
  • Clubhouse Cleaning (on event days) – helping the team prepare the clubhouse before and after big occasions.

No experience is required — just a friendly face and willingness to help. Volunteering at Oakham RFC is a great way to meet new people, support grassroots rugby, and take pride in being part of something special.

If you’d like to join our volunteer team, please speak to a committee member on match day or email the Volunteer Team here

Together, we can keep Oakham RFC strong, welcoming, and full of life — both on and off the pitch.
