Welcome to Oakham Rugby Club’s Mini & Junior Section, right here in the heart of Rutland. We provide a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for children aged U6 to U16 to discover rugby, make friends, and build confidence.

Our Minis & Juniors train and/or play matches every Sunday morning at Oakham Rugby Club, Ashwell Road, Oakham, Rutland.

Arrival: 10:00am
Start: 10:30am
Finish: 11:30am – 12:00 noon

With first-class facilities, including 12 full-size pitches that accommodate all age groups, Oakham RFC is proud to host a thriving Mini & Junior section with over 140 children training and playing each week.

Children enjoy fun, exercise, and the chance to make new friends while developing skills and a lifelong love for rugby.

Mini & Junior Membership:

U6s (Age 5 & 6yrs) - £100
U7s – U12s (Age7-12yrs) - £135
U13s-U16s (Age 12-16yrs) - £145

Once registered as a committed member of the playing group, we encourage children to wear the official Oakham RFC playing kit, building pride, identity, and team spirit.

Pitches & Playing Areas: Please check the directional boards at the club each week for updated pitch allocations per age group. Locations rotate regularly to allow recovery of pitches and to accommodate all training and matches on our busiest weekends. [Click here for the Pitch Map.]

Parking is free on-site at the Club, with additional free parking available in the surrounding area.

We always welcome newcomers and offer three free trial sessions so your child can experience rugby and meet the team before deciding to join.

All you need to bring is:

Rugby boots (or trainers if the ground is firm)
A named water bottle
Plenty of enthusiasm!
