Age Grade Player Registration & Affiliation with the RFU Game Management System (GMS)

The RFU’s Game Management System (GMS) is the official platform supporting grassroots rugby across England. All Age Grade players (U6–U18) at Oakham RFC must be registered and affiliated via GMS each season.

Why it matters

Accurate registration ensures players are correctly covered under RFU insurance and safeguarded in line with national regulations.

Affiliation to Oakham RFC connects each player to the right club, allowing us to manage teams, fixtures, and communications effectively.

Paying the appropriate membership fees alongside GMS registration secures your child’s place at the club and directly supports facilities, coaching, and development.

The process

Each player must be affiliated online within 30 days of the season starting, or within 30 days of first joining Oakham RFC.

A parent/guardian creates their own profile and their child’s profile on GMS, before affiliating them to Oakham RFC.

The registration is then confirmed by our Club Registrar.
