5. RECRUITMENT PROCESS
- ORFC follows the RFU Safer Recruitment process - We adopt the RFU Core values – TREDS
- All staff and volunteers at ORFC in a role which involves working with children or vulnerable adults within regulated activity are required to hold a valid DBS. This will be processed by the SGO following completion of Volunteer Form and completion of Introduction to Safeguarding. Information on Identification required: can be found on the GOV website.
- Volunteer forms should be renewed annually and sent electronically to the SGO: link to one form.
- It is a mandatory requirement for Introduction to Safeguarding to be in date for DBS applications to be processed.
- ORFC ask that Volunteers renew this annually before the start of season along with age grade related Headcase Awareness, Tackle Safe is recommended for older age group coaches and volunteers
