Volunteers make ORFC possible and so I start by thanking you for your interest in joining the team.

There is a process which must be followed to set up volunteers and a small amount of work each year to stay current and adhere to legalities and processes.

• Volunteer Form – this online form once submitted will come to myself as Club Safeguarding Officer (CSO) to review, and to appropriate persons to manage SPOND and GMS.

• Register on GMS – using this helpful user guide. Ensure your details are correct as this is matched to your DBS application, and email needs to be included.

• Complete Introduction to Safeguarding training (it is a legal requirement, and I cannot pull through your DBS application without it).

• Bring CSO three forms of ID which can be found on the Gov website.

• CSO will make the initial application – you will then be sent an email to finish the application (look out for an email from Atlantic Data).

• You are now able to sign up to the renewal process afterwards which makes the process easier each year.

• First Aiders - you will need to book onto a training course.

• Log into GMS and update your role and upload the certificate from training.
